Vanessa Campbell 28.06.2023

Our residents were after a dog friendly space on the estate for the furry friends to stretch their legs. Introducing the dog agility course at 8 Water Street, home to pet friendly apartments in Canary Wharf. Whilst pet friendly homes for rent are available at 8 Water Street, we wanted to ensure that the lived experience inside the apartment was just as fun on the outside.

Dog agility

Whilst pet friendly homes for rent are available at 8 Water Street, we wanted to ensure that the lived experience inside the apartment was just as fun on the outside. Introducing our dog agility course on the roof terrace, the largest outdoor area in the whole Vertus portfolio. We launched the new outdoor amenity space at our Vertus+ launch weekend and are thrilled that pets have yet another space at 8 Water Street to make their mark.

Dog agility in London has never bene easier as a Vertus residents. Simply head up to the roof terrace and enter the newly landscaped course for your pets. Scan the QR code on the terrace walls and you’ll be directed to simple videos to learn how to train your dogs to jump through hoops and weave through obstacles with their owner. There are many benefits to dog training courses as you’re making sure your dog gets proper exercise whilst keeping their brain occupied with them learning and retaining new skills.

We’ve shortlisted our favourite dog agility videos with top tips and tricks. Watch on:

You’re spoilt for choice for green space in Canary Wharf. Take a stroll with your pet along Harbour Quay and look out onto the water below – as tempting as it is we do advise not to let you pups swim.

Other notable spaces to enjoy outside include the award-winning Crossrail Place Roof Garden. Secret London said it themselves, this roof garden is “a beautiful little spot, where funky geometric windows offer great views back over Canary Wharf” whether the sun rises for a morning dog walk, lunchtime stroll of event when the sun goes down to get a moment of peace and sanctuary in the city.

Note: Dogs are allowed on the Canary Wharf estate, including Crossrail Place Roof Garden however, only Assistance Dogs are permitted inside our five shopping malls though small dogs may be carried.
